Managing Across Time Zones
Conceived of, and stood up, an innovative program to create a Millennium application team extension in Bangalore, India as an alternative to short-term contractors. In so doing, created a permanent solution rather than a temporary one, for less than 25% of the cost over a two-year period. Team members were successfully integrated into the embedded team - extending both team bandwidth and hours of service. Was invited to join the ITMS leadership team in order to overcome existing challenges with rolling the same program out service-organization wide. Increased the percentage of tickets completed by leveraged resources from 9.48% to 22.29% in nine months through engagement with client-embedded team leaders and managers. Greatly increased team cohesion between US and India-based teams, in collaboration with India leadership, through various activities and processes to get to know colleagues as people rather than just a nebulous entity. Success was measured through a significant increase to positive feedback being submitted for their global colleagues. Consciously and directly addresses bias in the workplace, in order to take action to prevent or mitigate its effects upon decision making. Created and led sessions on microaggressions with team members, centering voices of people of color and people with disabilities.

Project and Program Management
Led four big-bang hospital implementations for Adventist Health hospitals in Reedley, Lodi, Tehachapi, and Marysville, California. All were completed without EHR downtime, and met or exceeded implementation metric targets. With each implementation, her purview was greater: first the project manager for the EHR, then the project manager for both EHR and Revenue Cycle, and then on to program management for the transition. Led the PMO for the ITWorks embedded team at Adventist Health, which typically ran at about 40 concurrent projects, servicing 20+ hospitals and hundreds of clinics. Was the project roadmap owner on behalf of the client - from stakeholder-submitted idea through implementation for nearly 20 enterprise business owners. Currently the leader providing oversight to projects being implemented by Oracle ITMS at Cook County. Has authored standardized project documentation templates for multiple organizations that have proven to reduce miscommunications regarding scope and anticipated outcomes. Has taught education sessions on project management basics, using a fictional story and activities to teach the concepts in a way that non-project managers can easily understand. Has acted as a mentor for a project manager as part of the formal Oracle mentorship program, and enabled the mentee to reach her targets successfully.

Within the health system environment, was repeatedly asked to rehabilitate teams with problematic working relationships or results. Consistently was able to move these teams to being healthy, productive, and adaptable.

Continuity in Crisis
While an employee at Adventist Health, was selected to join the "Rapid Response Team," a team of managers and directors engaged for any emergent situation - technical downtime or otherwise - for any hospital or clinic locations within the organization. Took rotations, serving 24/7, to perform resource engagement, C-suite and enterprise communication, and authorize actions when needed. As part of this role, she provided leadership during hospital evacuations, outages due to fiber lines being cut to the hospital, critical service downtimes, and system issues. During the COVID-19 pandemic, joined the Adventist Health Enterprise Command Center, serving as the single point of contact for all EHR or Revenue Cycle application changes. Directed the completion of 249 separate work efforts in the first four months of the pandemic, including emergency response efforts (like building out mass vaccination and tent hospital system workflows) and standing up new service lines, like Hospital at Home, which was completed in 4 weeks from first design call to first admitted patient. Has continued to be engaged for her expertise during major client incidents and for business continuity planning.
